Handmade Arcade is thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural print publication, Things Making Things: A DIY Coloring Book, featuring original commissioned artwork by 10 Pittsburgh-based artists and Handmade Arcade vendors. Inside the creative pages of this 28-page book, you will meet imaginative creatures who are all crafting, making and designing things—from robots screen-printing to spiders painting—and ready for you to turn into artworks of your very own.
Designed as an all-ages book, Things Making Things invites the public to rediscover the joy of coloring: share it with the newest member of your family, pick one up as a holiday gift for a friend, coworker or relative and keep a copy near your couch or on your nightstand for inspiration and relaxation. Not just for kids anymore, coloring is highly beneficial to all ages for its ability to combat stress, promote wellness and stimulate fine motor skills, the senses and creativity.
At Handmade Arcade, attendees can purchase a copy of Things Making Things: A DIY Coloring Book for $10 and collect all of the artists’ autographs on the back cover. Early Birdie pass holders will receive a copy in their goodie bags.
All proceeds from the sale of Things Making Things will support Handmade Arcade’s educational and outreach activities, including Hands-on Handmade, DIY Days Workshops, outreach events, youth scholarships and more.
