  • Handmade Arcade is a juried, curated marketplace.
  • Notifications will be sent on September 20, 2017.
  • Late applications will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Food vendors are not permitted to sell at Handmade Arcade.

How much does it cost to apply to Handmade Arcade? 

  • $10 non-refundable application fee
  • $240 Standard Vendor Space (8-by-8-foot display space with 8-by-2.5-foot table, 2 chairs and NO set-up restrictions)
  • $150 Craft Corridor Vendor Space (6-by-2.5-foot table, 2 chairs, set-up restrictions and application requirements)

Handmade Arcade is celebrating our grassroots history and mission by offering this new limited opportunity for EMERGING and RE-EMERGING craft artists to apply for a smaller space at a reduced cost of $150. Hands-on Handmade Applications now OPEN!

Call for craft-based artists, makers, demonstrators, educators to lead interactive and innovative projects for the public during Handmade Arcade on December 2, 2017.

Deadline for submissions: Friday, July 14, 2017.
Notification of acceptance will be rolling until all spots are filled.


Hands-on Handmade (HOHA), a participatory component to Handmade Arcade (HA), offers a variety of drop-in and daylong interactive programs including craft demonstrations, mini-tutorials, make-and-take activities, craft competitions and art installations. Participants gain exposure to Handmade Arcade’s 9,000+ attendees.

HOHA is designed to:
• bridge the gap between consumers and creators
• engage attendees and vendors in a shared creative process
• increase awareness about handmade art, locally-produced craft goods and processes
• provide a platform for artists and organizations to expand their reach into the community

Kitsch! Conversation! Collectibles!
Start your day at Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer—a one-of-a-kind vintage vendor fair that melds community, creative inspiration and nostalgia. The Mixer returns with a fun atmosphere of quality, authentic vintage treasures and antiques and a variety of collectibles for all ages, styles and budgets.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Venue: Spirit (both floors!) 252 51st Street
Details: General Admission for the Mixer is $5 for adults, kids under 12 are free. All tickets are available at the door.

This free event opens the doors to the studios and artwork of more than 50 Pittsburgh artists, showcasing a gamut of traditional and contemporary art media and styles. Join us each Wednesday in September at the Wigle Distillery (2401 Smallman Street) for a night of Crafting and Drinking from 5 – 8 P.M.

Support the 1st CAPA Vendor Fair!

CAPAEach year, Handmade Arcade welcomes the students of Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) High School to sell their handmade wares as well as to assist in leading an activity in our popular Hands-on Handmade interactive area. Having had great success at Handmade Arcade, the Friends of CAPA are branching out and having a vendor fair of their own to raise money for CAPA students and support small businesses in the community.
